Brother and sister duo Samuel and Paola Zavala have been involved in coffee production all their lives. After completing their studies in agronomy the pair were gifted 6 Hectares of prime coffee producing land by their father Salatiel; this small plot evolved to become El Cambalache, a project for the siblings to invest their ideas and passion in. In 2018 their hard work and dedication paid off with a placing in the annual Cup of Excellence competition, a feat that has been repeated once again in 2020. We are really excited to be able to bring you this fantastic coffee, not only because it tastes amazing, supports a great organisation and directly benefits the producers; we also get to continue our relationship with Samuel and Paola, who we have been working with for several years. We also stock coffee from their other farm (Finca La Esperanza) year round and are committed to buying coffee from them directly year on year. It is a pleasure to be able to support these amazing coffee producers and we are proud to be able to share with you one of the best coffees Nicaragua has to offer. In the cup you can expect a rich lemon curd sweetness interspersed with a zingy kiwifruit acidity and a soft peach finish. This coffee is perfect as both filter and espresso style.
