Finca La Josefina

A sweet and jammy Sidra from the emerging growing region of Pichincha

Nestled within the breathtaking Cayambe-Coca Natural Reserve, Finca La Josefina is the labor of love for Ligia Merizalde and Leopoldo Andrade. Surrounded by the rich biodiversity of over 3,500 species of plants and animals, this farm has become a true sanctuary for coffee cultivation, with a diverse range of coffee varieties thriving on the land.

At Finca La Josefina, the Sidra variety takes center stage. Sidra is a unique hybrid, native to Ecuador, believed to be a cross between Bourbon and Typica varieties. Known for its exceptional sweetness and complex flavor profile, Sidra offers a distinctive tasting experience. After harvest, this coffee is processed using the traditional washed method, further enhancing its clarity and brightness. The result is a cup that offers a delightful combination of vanilla and jammy tropical fruit flavors, with a touch of mild dried apple. Its sweetness and mellow winey acidity create a smooth cup that will charm any coffee lover.
