Koke is not your typical Ethiopian coffee. Nor is it your typical Carbonic Maceration processed coffee. Koke is an entity unto itself. Hailing from the world-famous Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia’s south, the Koke station services 96 smallholder producers, most of whom are multi-generational farmers. Through experimentation and meticulous sorting practices, the team at Koke have crafted this amazing coffee that has to be experienced to be believed. In the cup you will find lots of red and purple fruit. Red grapes, rose and bergamot florals and a sweetness reminiscent of purple winegums are the predominant flavours with a balanced citrus acidity which rounds out the cup. This coffee keeps improving as it cools with the sweetness intensifying into notes of milk chocolate and Turkish delight. We only have a small quantity of this incredible coffee so supply is limited.
