From the partners behind the iconic South Melbourne Prince Wine store, comes another extension known as the Bellota Wine Bar. Since opening in 2013, the Bellota Wine Bar has been a showcase to a selection of great wines that customers no longer have to take home to enjoy. Bellota Wine Bar gives the customer an experience to sit down in the classic Victorian building, enjoy a perfectly curated meal alongside a glass of a matched seasonal wine. Bellota’s wine list changes with the seasons and are all available by the taste, glass and carafe (half bottle). Don't forget, that any wine from their sister store, ‘Prince Wine Store’ may be consumed at Bellota at the shelf price with no corkage for wines over $80.
The menu, heralded by head chef Nicky Riemer showcases the best of Victoria’s produce and similar to the wines, is driven by the seasons. The menu is rich in flavour and in options too. Dishes include Cured Hiramasa Kingfish, Spaghettini, roasted duck leg and pork rib eye on the bone, giving the menu a European taste. The all day menu has something for everyone, even snacks including a salumi board or assortment of cheeses for those less hungry. Bellota wine bar is not only proud of their food and wines, but also their coffee. The La Marzocco Linea coffee machine pours a perfectly timed extraction of the of the Prima Tazza blend that has a dark chocolate overtone to the palate. Bellota Wine Bar serves lunch and dinner and is the perfect location if you are in the mood for a glass of wine with the perfect meal to match.
