This special coffee from famed producer Anastase Minani and hand-selected by our WA Head Barista Kadi Jayne during her recent trip to Rwanda. We are extremely humbled to be able to bring Minani’s coffee to Australia. Minani is a former president of the Dukunde Kawa Cooperative in Rwanda’s Northern Province and has been producing coffee for forty years! Usually it is very difficult to purchase coffee from a single producer in countries like Rwanda due to the small average farm size; the majority of the time, lots from several farms are mixed together to make up the volume required for export. Minani’s farm is approximately one hectare, large enough to keep his coffee separate; this fact, combined with the spectacular profile it exhibits, makes it a great coffee to add to our line-up of single origins. In the cup you can expect to find notes of wild berries, red apple and plum. Amazing as a filter style brew or as a long black.
