We’re no strangers to the Arcila family and their coffee. Back in 2019, we bought coffee from Jairo Arcila, and we’ve been fans of the family’s work ever since. Between Jairo and his two sons, Felipe and Carlos, there’s a deep well of knowledge and a shared drive to keep pushing Colombian coffee forward. So when this lot from Felipe and Carlos’ farm, Jardines del Edén - the Garden of Eden - came our way, we didn’t hesitate.
Jardines del Edén is the result of patience, vision, and a fair bit of ambition. The brothers spent years searching for the right land, reviving the soil, and planting exotic coffee varieties. Among them is Yellow Gesha, a rare varietal that thrives in the farm’s high altitude and rich volcanic soil.
Through their carefully executed Natural EF2 process, the coffee develops a bright, fruit-driven profile of peach iced tea, fresh strawberries, and orange blossom. It’s the filter roast we’ve been craving for spring.
This lot is a testament to what happens when heritage, innovation, and vision come together in the right hands.
