Sweetness Rooted in Huila

Pink Bourbon has carved out a strong reputation in Colombia, and this lot from southern Huila shows us why. Named Melao—after the traditional Colombian syrup made from panela—this coffee is a reflection of the natural sweetness and depth that Pink Bourbon is known for.

Grown at elevations between 1,500 and 2,100 metres above sea level, this variety thrives in the highlands of Huila. First discovered in San Adolfo, Pink Bourbon stands out for both its distinct pink hue and consistently clean, expressive flavour. In the cup, this washed lot delivers bright notes of pomegranate, pink lemonade, and cranberry—refreshing, juicy, and balanced.

The producers behind this coffee are a mix of second- and third-generation farmers who bring deep experience and care to their craft. With family often lending a hand on the farm, and a focus on learning and experimenting, there’s a strong sense of community and pride in the work. From careful cherry selection through to controlled fermentation and drying, every step reflects a commitment to quality.

This is a vibrant and beautifully structured coffee that celebrates the people, process, and place it comes from. A great choice for filter or espresso brewing.
